SPOKANE, WA - The Spokane Indians celebrated the 4th of July the right way, with a 6-2 win over the Boise Hawks. Afterwards, they enjoyed a spectacular fireworks display with a Sold Out crowd of 6,835 at Avista Stadium.

Indians' starting pitcher Randol Rojas made quick work of the Boise Hawks, going six innings, giving up only two runs on four hits. Relief pitcher Ben Henry picked up his second win of the season, pitching three scoreless innings. Rojas and Henry only needed 2 hours to secure the Indians eighth win of the season.

The Indians bats lit up the sky, when right fielder Yefry Castillo hit his first home run of the season in the second inning. Castillo went 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs. After Boise tied the game at two, designated hitter Andrew Clark hit his first home run of the season in the seventh inning. Left fielder Jared Hoying chipped in with two hits, and one RBI.

2010 first round pick, Jake Skole collected his first hit of the season in the eighth inning. Skole was able to score on a triple by shortstop Jurickson Profar that went through Boise right fielder Alvaro Ramirez's legs and rolled to the warning track.

The Indians are currently 8-8 and have reached the .500 mark for the first time this season. They have won 7 of their last 8 games, and are currently tied for second place in the Northwest League East Division.
